Dermal fillers are wrinkle fillers
A dermal filler, or as it’s sometimes called, wrinkle filler, is a substance that is injected beneath the lines in the skin, around the mouth, for example, between the nose and lips or into deep vertical lower forehead lines.
Healthy skin contains important components that keep it supple and young looking. One of these is hyaluronic acid. However, with time, sunlight and other factors, the hyaluronic acid in your skin diminishes, your skin loses volume, and lines and wrinkles appear.
Now you can temporarily replace your skin’s lost hyaluronic acid by using hyaluronic acid replacements also known as fillers Hydrafill, Restylane and Restylane-Perlane are all popular brands of hyaluronic acid fillers used by our team.
How long does a skin filler treatment take?
Skin filler injections are made using a pre-filled syringe equipped with a very fine needle. A single treatment usually takes around 15-30 minutes but we allow an hour because we like to ensure we incorporate pain relief in to a treatment. Our use of local anaesthetic is often used to try and eliminate as much discomfort around sensitive areas as possible.
