Get in touchIntroducing the Inman Aligner: what is it and how does it work?
The Inman Aligner is a removable brace, which is often recommended for patients who don’t require a vast amount of movement. Ideally suited to patients with minor issues, as well as those who have experienced relapse after previous treatment, this is a brace that achieves results in a matter of weeks, rather than months or years.
This brace is different to the traditional fixed braces many of us are familiar with. Comprising nickel titanium springs, which support the aligner bows that sit on the teeth, the brace generates forces, which effectively squeeze the teeth, moving them into the desired position. The two bows of the aligner are located opposite each other. The inner bow pushes in a forward direction, while the outer structure draws the teeth back. This combination generates rapid movement. Although the forces are powerful, they are also gentle, and they provide an expansive range of movement, which cuts treatment times.
How long will treatment take?
The Inman Aligner is one of the speediest orthodontic solutions available. Some cases can be completed within just 6 weeks, while most will be finished within 16 weeks. Your dentist will be able to give you an accurate prediction once you’ve had your consultation.
